Valerie Lim

Valerie Lim

Valerie Lim is the Managing Director of Gateway 21 Pte Ltd, with 19 years' experience in corporate secretarial practice.

 

Her work experiences include a 6.5 year stint with Arthur Andersen, where she set up the Corporate Secretarial Department in 1986 and grew the business successfully. From 1992 to 1993, she started up a local firm with an ex-colleague which has grown into a mid-sized firm. She had two years' experience too, in 1995/1996, in Asiaciti Management Pte Ltd, which provides wealth management advisory.

 

She then kickstarted and headed Abogado Pte Ltd, the secretarial division of international law firm, Baker & McKenzie, from 1996 to 2000, whose clients are Fortune 500s and MNCs, bringing in millions of dollars for the secretarial practice. Since 2000, she has been managing her own secretarial practice.

 

She is also a member in Association of Small & Medium Enterprise (ASME), Ozone Barter Pte Ltd community, Money Mastery network and Entrepreneur Action Program, Money & You program and Dr. Wee's School for Entrepreneurs.

 

Valerie Lim was a winner of the Spirit of Enterprise Award 2005. She is the FIRST & ONLY COMPANY SECRETARY IN SINGAPORE to win such an Award. It is a resounding affirmation of her passion in helping business owners with their startups, staying compliant and on the right side of the law.

Valerie firmly believes every business owner deserves to succeed. Her passion and commitment is to share her knowledge in company secretarial, business, finances, and provide services to help entrepreneurs do just that... In the book "IT"S MY LIFE!" commissioned by Spirit of Enterprise (SOE) and published by Singapore National Printers (SNP), she is dubbed as "an Entrepreneur helping other entrepreneurs".

 

Valerie Lim is the Corporate Secretary of Project:Senso, assisting in documentations and helping Project:Senso grow to a considerable size and stature. Her genuine, relentless assistance and jovial personality has won many over making her an approachable and helpful mentor in Project:Senso.


Abuayubul Ansari

Abuayubul Ansari

As a Personal Financial Advisor and Certified Wealth Coach, Abu has conducted various financial workshops like Mechanism of Money, Leadership and Awareness Program and Financial Quotient in University Technology Malaysia. His Entrepreneurship training has crossed the boundaries to Singapore through his PHD in Entrepreneurship Workshop in NTU Singapore. Besides institutions, he also provides workshops for Corporate and Private companies. Well-known for his entrepreneurship endeavors, he was selected as a judge for MediaCorp TV reality show (BISNES), START-UP @ Singapore, Vasantham Media Corp TV12 and Bazaar entrepreneurs competition with Suria MediaCorp TV. His vast influence and motivating workshops has honoured him an accolade in Spirit of Enterprise 2005. Being active in entrepreneurship, he is the VP for the Cash flow 101 club, the Youth Chairman for RICH CLUB Singapore, Vice Chairman of YEN (Singapore Malay Chamber of Commerce) and Head of Young Entrepreneur Club.
 

With great passion in improving financial literacy among youth in Asia Pacific, he started his own start-up called NowAsia and Biz4Kids .

 

Sitting on board Project:Senso, Abu conducts cash flow game for Project:Senso on a bi-monthly basis. New financial games will be introduced if there is a demand. He is a major contributor in the forum in areas of financial literacy.


Peter Tan

Peter Tan

As the Chief Executive Officer for Pacific Centennial Group, parent of Singapore's leading virtual office provider - www.virtualoffice.com.sg, he leads the world’s most popular virtual office. He is currently the Executive Director of AdCause Singpore Pte td which is a media buying agency. He loves mentoring other entrepreneurs besides being an investor for some of them. For his diligence and genuine propensity to help others, he was awarded the Spirit of Enterprise 2005 Honouree, presented by Singapore President, SR Nathan. His highest qualification is a GCE “O” Level.

 

He is on the board of director in Project:Senso serving as an advisor and consultant for entrepreneur related activities. He has expressed keen interest to mentor those that are willing to learn the hard way as entrepreneurship is not an easy journey.


Ken Chia

Ken Chia

Ken Chia is the Founder & Group Marketing Director of Team Digital International Group, with interests in electronics, e-commerce, virtual office, business services. Single-handedly, he built www.teamdigital.net, the e-commerce store that shipped most number of mp3 players from Singapore to shoppers in almost every country in Europe. Teamdigital.net was recently featured in Singapore Online Safety Guide 2006, produced by National Crime Prevention Council, SPRING, CASE and eBay. It is now the 1st and only Asian web store invited into listing at No. 1 shopping comparison site in Europe; Pricerunner.com. Later, he started www.modetti.com to provide virtual office and business services to locals and foreign businessmen interested to startup in Singapore.

 

As a specialist in Yahoo! And eBay auction power selling, he sits on the management board of Project:Senso coaching and mentoring aspiring e-business entrepreneurs. He also contributes articles on topics related to e-commerce in Project:Senso using his raw experience in this area, unlike claims from internet marketing seminars. He is one of the few truly genuine internet sales and marketing expert in Singapore.

Nicholas Chan – Chief Operations & Technical Manager

Nicholas Chan - Chief Operations & Technical Manager

As the director for his own startup, iFoundries Pte Ltd , Nicholas is the Business Process Re-engineering Consultant leading the regional marketing and business development for his company. Starting from year 2003, as the Country Manager for K.S. Lee & Associates Pte Ltd, he handled the company's Cost Reduction operations expansion into Thailand and Vietnam with perpetual lookout for any business development opportunities. In 1996, he founded his first company called S.C.N. Technologies dealing with various IT and business process improvements projects using his skills in marketing, product sourcing and logistics.

 

A graduate from Ngee Ann Polytechnic's Film, Sound and Video Department, he has undertaken additional training in Strategic Marketing Communication in Mass Communication. He was nominated for the Spirit of Enterprise Honouree 2005 for his entrepreneurial skills and social enterprise activities.

 

He now handles the technical and operations aspects of Project:Senso while organizing events like Business Insights & Business Trips that gives members the opportunities to observe fellow entrepreneurs in action while asking them various questions.


Joseph Wong – Chief Event Manager

Joseph Wong - Chief Event Manager

Joseph started his own company called Zest Resources to provide training and consultancy in the areas of Youth Development, Career and Entrepreneurship Training. He is a certified C-VAT Trainer in the areas of Personal Value Profiling (PVP) instrument from the United States.

After being in the corporate workforce for less than 2 years, he joined the United Nations Peace-Keeping and Humanitarian Program, earning him the United Nations Service Medal and Singapore Overseas Operation Medal in recognition for his contribution to this selfless operation. He also serves as a Financial Consultant.

 

Joseph head the events segment as their Chief Event for the organization. He had successfully written and launched a original Youth Entrepreneurs Program - THE ENTREPRENEURS (BUSINESSMIND BOOT CAMP), which pulls in all credible entrepreneur's resources under his entity together with Project:Senso in reaching out to the youth in the Entrepreneurial Context. A person who places people above all, believes that everyone has a potential that can be easily tapped on to uncover the true self of that person; all that is required is opportunity!


Emily Ng – Chief Editor

Emily Ng - Chief Editor

Emily is Project Manager of I-Pop Networks, bringing with her over 6 years of experience in the telecommunications and IT industry. She oversees the technical and commercial aspects of key projects across Asia Pacific with a range of multi-faceted clients and operators in the mobile arena.

 

Previously with MobileOne Ltd as Systems Analyst, she analyzes, configures and track marketing campaign. Her forst 4 years of work was in Maxis COmmunications Bhd, the leading operator in Malaysia. Emily currently writes for a mobile industry publication in Malaysia called Mobile World at www.mobileworld.com.my 

 

Emily manages the editorial section for Project:Senso. With aspirations to own her own business one day, Emily seeks out new opportunities for Project:Senso including regional expansion to Malaysia while helping aspiring entrepreneurs to established themselves in the market. Emily organises the "Lunch With Entrepreneur" event which culminates volunteer journalists from all over the country to meet entrepreneurs and feature their articles online and in university brochures.

 

Koh Bing Xiong - Assistant Editor

Curently studying in NUS, Bing Xiong has over 6 years of dedicated analysis in the magic of how mere words can cause nations to crumble, financial markets to soar and turn black into white, he is on the forefront on what happens in the world. Having volunteered his time in organizing and facilitating CashFlow games for over a year, he is versed in the basic handling of investment tools in the financial markets.Curently studying in NUS, Bing Xiong has over 6 years of dedicated analysis in the magic of how mere words can cause nations to crumble, financial markets to soar and turn black into white, he is on the forefront on what happens in the world.
