How to find a job

This story might serve as an example of the correct use of GMS® in life. One of my excellent students told me the story.

He decided to find a job in one of the cities tourism agencies. Having taken A. R. Luria’s book “A small book on big memory” describing the S. V. Shereshevsky phenomenon, he entered the personnel department of the company. He hinted at having excellent memory during the interview. The personnel manager was interested.

The man took the book he had with him “by chance” and showed the manager the results of Shereshevsky, adding that his results are quite mediocre and his were much better.

The manager summoned other colleagues for a demonstration of memory “tricks”. They wrote 100 two-digit numbers under ordinal numbers, and gave the page to the man and waited until the memorization process was over. In about 10 minutes the numbers were memorized.

They began the test. The man reproduced the numbers in both direct and reverse orders as well as randomly, astonishing and surprising the personnel. As a conclusion he announced that memorizing names, cities, timetables and voyage prices was just as easy for him. He persuaded the company that his ability to learn was way beyond average and he could rapidly fathom the company’s specific tasks and will be able to solve different operational tasks thanks to his phenomenal memory.

The result of the job interview was excellent. He got the job with a very good wage.

Can any conclusion be made? The young man acted wisely. He did not disclose the techniques he used to memorize. He, just like circus artists, implied that he has extraordinary abilities, which caused extra interest in him.

Is there any website (yours or others) that details this memory training methodology?

Just look around. Pay attention to the competition in all of the spheres! If you want to find an interesting, well-remunerated job you need to be unique from the others around you.  There are thousands of average people ready to work for any sum of money. An employer would surely choose someone who requires a smaller wage since everyone has the same knowledge. Many even fail to be invited to an interview!  How can this be changed?  Change yourself! Imagine that you have phenomenal memory. You are able to memorize and reproduce huge volumes of precise information. You can pass a two-year foreign language course in 3 months. If you write that you have phenomenal memory in your resume, you will be the first to be invited to an interview! After you show your outstanding skills your will surely get the job even if you have insufficient knowledge or experience you can learn anything in minimum time.

How come the story is repeated twice in the same thread?
